I searched everywhere and I tried everything that's the only thing that worked ! My MBP (17″ pre-unibody Intel) starts to load the system, gets about 1/4 to 1/3 way through, stutters then shuts down. I tried to just push them, I tried to hold them down for a little while… how do i understand that the SMC has indeed been reseted?
