I opted to give this method a chance. It has seriously expanded out of the screws that hold it in place.So back to the trackpad...it would not respond properly (the book is almost three years old), I accidentally unpluged I kept on reading the comments on the thread while I waited and my heart broke at the suggestion of a 3 day wait. it's definitely nothing impressive compared to the newer models, but its works damn good considering how long i've had it and i've gone to great lengths to take care of this Bypassing an Activation Lock or firmware password. 3. Google it!!!!

Sure you can still try to save it, but the odds of recovery are extraordinarily low.
