Highlight the text of the document (Ctrl+A); under the Home tab, click the arrow under the Paragraph section to open the Paragraph window - What does it say under your spacing? Click again and the white margins disappear. I looked for ways to fix this problem on the internet. check my blog Go to Paragraph, Line and Page Breaks, unclick Page break before.
Also, you must select the entire region you wish to change the margins in before setting the margins.
